What are hyaluronic dermal fillers?

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance already present in our skin, essentially a complex sugar (glycosaminoglycan). It is found in the connective tissue of the skin and performs important functions: it can bind large amounts of water—thereby hydrating the skin, maintaining skin tone, neutralizing harmful free radicals, and compensating for lost fullness and volume.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the human body; it is “recognized” by the body (unlike other substances) and accepted as biocompatible.
