What is Aptos thread lifting treatment?

Compared to traditional facelift surgery—which can produce significant visible changes but also leaves scars and requires a long recovery period—Aptos thread lifting leaves no visible signs of intervention or scarring. It also improves skin texture, fine lines, and skin laxity. The Aptos threads were invented by Georgian plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Marlen Sulamanidze in 1987.

Today, the Aptos product line includes a wide range of threads with different compositions, shapes, and purposes.

Aptos threads are made of absorbable material (poly-L-lactic acid + caprolactone). Polylactic threads have been used in surgery as suture material for more than 50 years and are composed of a fully absorbable, non-allergenic material.

This year, the inventors of Aptos introduced a new revolutionary formula for the composition of the threads – the 4th generation Aptos thread with nano micro-encapsulated hyaluronic acid.

Who is a candidate for Aptos?
Ideal candidates are patients with minimal signs of
aging who require only a subtle lift. These are typically men and women between 30 and 55 years old. Suitable candidates are those with:

• Loss of jawline definition
• Sagging midface
• Drooping neck area
• Drooping upper eyelids
• Small under-eye bags
• Relapse after previous procedures such as facelift or neck lift
